1. State the Well -ordering property.
2. State mathematical induction as a rule of inference.
3. Describe the two main steps in using the technique
of proof by mathematical induction.
4. After reading a few of the examples of proof by mathematical induction, describe a common element in the statements (not the proofs) that were proven. I am interested in knowing if you were able to surmise when to use the theorem of mathematical induction.
