CALCULATORS

All students must have an electronic calculator which has at least an exponential key and a logarithm key.

GRADING POLICY

Exams 70%
Final 30%
Total 100%

An exam will consist of problems similar to homework problems. There will be NO make-up exams. If you have to miss an exam, and you have documentation, you may roll the percentage of that exam to the final. You only get to do this once! You may have 1(one) 8.5 × 11 sheet with formulas to use during exams. You may not borrow calculators during exams. I reserve the right to change the seating arrangement during exams if I deem this necessary without providing an explanation. The Final will be a 2.0-hour exam held from 1:00 -- 3:30 PM on Monday, December 4. The Final will reflect all material covered in this course. Missing the Final will result in an automatic F for the course grade.

RULES ENGRAVED IN STONE

Turn off all cellular phones, beepers, or any other noise making devices during class and exams.

No cheating. If I catch you cheating on one exam, you will receive an F for the course grade.

WITHDRAWAL POLICY

The last day to drop a course without a grade is SEPTEMBER 1. The last day to drop a course is OCTOBER 26.

There will be NO Incompletes given.

ATTENDANCE

Class attendance is most strongly recommended. Students are responsible for all material covered in class. The course builds on concepts covered in previous sections. Missing a class early in the semester may be costly later on.
